2: Training for IT Professionals
The key to developing a knowledge-based economy is the cultivation of
high-quality professionals. To cope with the constant updating of knowledge and
technology, the workers in high-tech industries have to keep learning to gain
an advantage in a very competitive industry. Due to the fast growth of the
Internet and learning technologies in recent years, the e-learning training
style, independent of space and time constraints, has become a new trend in
educational training. This style also leads to a global trend that all
countries are actively participating in the development of e-learning.
Professionals demand the traits of high learning ability and fast knowledge
updates. Through e-learning, the flexibility of learning is increased.
Professional skills of higher quality are achieved, which strengthen the
domestic knowledge-based economy.
Training Target: IT professionals
Training Expense: Industrial Bureau would pay for half of the
expense and students would pay for the other half
Teaching Method: Combination of both class room training and
online training, or completely online training

Objectives
1. Construct a structure for
information software training courses
Professionals are the primary concern in developing the information software
industries. Organizing a structure for complete IT training courses is
fundamental to training professionals. In order to maximize the efficiency of
the training for domestic IT professionals, it is planned to design structures
and contents for all kinds of IT training courses based on the ability of IT
professionals. The enhancement of work skills is the goal for training
professionals. The structure of the training courses is expected to provide a
concrete regulation for training courses in domestic IT training institutions.
In order to keep meeting the needs of the environment of relevant industries,
the structure of training courses will be modified periodically according to
new trends in technology.
2. Establish an innovative online teaching and operation model.
Due to the fast growth of Internet technology, e-learning has gradually become
part of the educational mainstream. The important objectives of this subprogram
are to develop a new online teaching and operation model and to combine
existing educational training knowledge and new technology for effective
training.
The structure of our courses will be organized by the hybrid-teaching model,
which combines classroom training with online learning. In this model,
Face-to-face teaching is the backbone for teaching, and teaching resources will
be converted to digital format. Learning services, such as extending learning,
sharing resources, and online consultation, will be provided. Depending on the
development of learning technology, the locations of classroom training will be
increased gradually. The ratio of on-line learning will be increased and the
quality of e-learning will be higher. The objective is to create a high-quality
e-learning environment, which provides learning everywhere and meets individual
needs.
3. Develop and introduce e-learning materials
Regarding developing e-learning materials, the Institute for Information
Industry has many years of real world teaching experience. Thus, it has rich
learning content and an outstanding faculty. In this subprogram, it is expected
to develop effective learning activities by combining new hybrid teaching
models and integrating diversified e-learning contents. Learning efficiency
will be maximized by the introduction or development of appropriate new
learning materials for the courses.
4. Hold the on-job training of information professionals.
The training for information professionals of this subprogram will integrate the
results of all the items above, and will form a complete planning structure to
be executed in real training activities. This program plans to hold all kinds
of courses for IT professionals such as web design, software development,
system development, database system, security, project management to provide a
channel for on-job training for the information professional in enterprises
through the use of a new online teaching and operation model. Hybrid teaching
allows information professionals to overcome the limitations of space and time,
to quickly acquire the newest information technology, and further raise the
quality of domestic software professionals. It is expected that we will hold
training for 2000 people.
